
VIJAYAWADA: Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan stressed that students must focus on digital transformation on Saturday. Addressing the 2nd convocation of Centurion University of Technology & Management in Vizianagaram, he said that India is on the cusp of a radical transformation and that students need to focus on chip manufacturing, quantum computing, computational pharmacy, smart agriculture and smart manufacturing.
He further said that the integrated Jan Dhan-Aadhar-Mobile system has demonstrated how Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) can be a game changer for the poor and Andhra Pradesh government has become a pioneer in this regard.
Virtually in a meeting from the Raj Bhavan, the governor pointed out that “Covid-19 and its aftermath have shown how quantum computing and computational pharmaceutics can come together to shorten the time frame needed to develop new vaccines that have saved millions of lives.”
The Governor lauded the university for focusing on cutting-edge technology domains and having its roots in Odisha and north coastal Andhra Pradesh. He advised the university to focus as much as possible on Vedic culture and work to rediscover the glory of the country.
